Kyla Young

Originally from Sitka, AK, Kyla Young came to Bellingham in 2023 to go to beauty school, and launch her hairstyling career. Then Salon Bellissima took her on as an student intern, and the passion took off. During her training and internship at the salon, she developed a love for cuts, colors-and her favorite-bridal services while gaining invaluable experience from senior stylists.

Since that time Kyla has grown to be one of our most requested bridal stylists. It has been amazing watching her talent really bloom, In 2026 Kyla was named our Stylist of the Year for overall growth after just 3 years. She cares about her guests, and never gives up on education, she is someone who will do her best and keep you feeling right at home in her chair.

Kyla is particularly passionate about working with tribal members, ensuring their hair is cared for in a way that honors their cultural traditions. Committed to building genuine connections, she eagerly welcomes all clients, listening carefully to bring their hair visions to life.
