The Salon Today Top #200 Award is such an honor, this means being NATIONALLY recognized as one of the top #200 salons in the country.
The magazine’s 29th annual SALON TODAY 200 issue profiles the selected salons in its Spring 2026 edition. The honored salons were awarded in 11 best-practice categories, including Growth, Business Builders, Client Retention and Referral, Compensation and Benefits, Customer Service, Employee Education, Environmental Sustainability, Philanthropy, Retail and Merchandising, Salon Culture, and Technology.
To participate in the competition, honorees shared sales data and wrote essays about their best practices, biggest business challenges, and how they had grown their businesses in the past year. Data was tabulated, essays were judged, and the top 200 salons were chosen from all applicants.

While our focus is on creating beautiful hair, we also believe in doing it responsibly. Salon Bellissima is proud to be an eco-conscious salon, dedicated to minimizing our environmental impact while delivering exceptional results. From our product choices to our waste reduction practices, we’re committed to sustainability. It’s just one more way we’re making sure you feel good about your hair—and the world around you.
Current Sustainability Efforts and Commitments
At Salon Bellissima, we are committed to creating a more sustainable future. We’ve taken steps to reduce water consumption by equipping our shampoo basins with EcoHeads which use less water while delivering a luxurious experience. Our goal is to reduce our water use by 65% by the end of 2025, and in 2026 to lead education about water waste.
Additionally, we’re expanding our partnerships with eco-conscious brands in our boutique, ensuring our offerings align with sustainability values.
We believe in supporting our community, regenerating the planet, and making thoughtful choices in every aspect of our business as we work toward our B Corp Certification.
Our Commitment to Clean Energy
In 2024, Salon Bellissima took another step toward sustainability by enrolling in Puget Sound Energy’s (PSE) Green Power Program, ensuring that 100% of our electricity is matched with renewable energy from wind and solar sources.
Through this program, we support independent renewable energy projects like Swauk Wind in Ellensburg, WA, and other clean energy initiatives across the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, our participation helps fund PSE’s Green Power Solar Grant program, which provides solar installations for local nonprofits, public housing authorities, and tribal organizations—helping them save on energy costs and reinvest in their communities.
We’re a Green Circle Salon
Salons generate waste often contaminated with bleach, hair color, and other chemicals. High water consumption and energy usage are typical. At Salon Bellissima, we strive to be eco-friendly, attracting green-minded clients and reducing our footprint. Green Circle manufactures hair booms for oil spill cleanup, utilizing human hair's natural adsorbent properties. These booms are donated to aid in oil spill cleanups. A $3.00 eco stewardship fee is added to every salon visit, helping us contribute to the planet’s wellbeing.
